Lucille A. Halsaver, 78, of Olean, NY, died Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Salamanca Rehab & Nursing Center following a long illness.

Born May 13, 1946 in Wellsville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Wilma Rose Dibert. She was married December 15, 1968 in Angelica, NY to Claude A. Halsaver, who predeceased her in 2013.

She was a graduate of Angelica High School, Class of 1964 as Valedictorian and earned her Associate’s Degree from Alfred State College.

Lucille had been employed as the executive secretary with the Cattaraugus County Refuse Department in Little Valley and had worked as a home health aide.

She enjoyed knitting, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Total Senior Care.

Surviving are: a daughter, Melody Halsaver, Salamanca, NY; four stepchildren; three grandchildren, Matthew Kirkwood, Olean, NY, Nathan Humphrey, Salamanca, NY, Bobbi (LuAnne) Kirkwood, Harrison, NY; nine step-grandchildren; a sister, Katherine Elliott, Belmont, NY; a great-grandson, Amari Humphrey, Salamanca, NY; three brothers, Alan Dibert, Belmont, NY, Charles (Carol) Dibert, Angelica, NY, Edwin (Jeanette) Dibert, Scio, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Beverly Brady and Margaret Butler.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
