June 30, 1953 – August 18, 2026
Bruce H. Pollock, 73, of Ellicottville, NY and Islamorada, FL died suddenly Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, FL.
Born June 30, 1953 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of the late Dallas Pollock and Shirley Chamberlain Pollock. He was married to Belinda Woodarek Pollock, who survives.
He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1971.
Bruce was the owner of The Edge Charters as a fishing captain/guide out of Bud and Mary’s Marina in Islamorada, FL and owner of Pollock Plumbing in Ellicottville, NY.
Bruce was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being on the water with a fishing pole in his hand. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Islamorada, and a retired skiing instructor of Holiday Valley, Ellicottville.
Bruce was the biggest fan of his three grandchildren, Logan and Lukas Grover of Ellicottville, NY and Beckett Pollock of New Bern, NC. Bruce called all three grandkids multiple times a day, staying involved in all their activities and interests. He loved them all so very much.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife are: his children, Erin Grover of Ellicottville, NY, Jude Pollock of Islamorada, FL, and Jesse (Penny) Pollock of New Bern, NC; his sister, Candy (Joey) Taylor and brother, Robert Pollock, along with many nieces and nephews.
Bruce loved telling anyone he could about his amazing wife, children, and wonderful grandchildren. He could be found telling stories of the day’s catches on the boat, fishing stories of the past, and what new things his grandkids were up to. Known in the Keys as Bonefish Bruce, he left a great void to those that knew him and will be missed by all. May there forever be a world record on the line and calm seas as far as the eye can see….
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
