WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Nick Langworthy (NY-23) announced the Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $33,250 to Olean Airport and $76,762 to the Wellsville Airport for designing a new gate and a new hangar, respectively.
The FAA awarded one grant to the City of Olean to reconstruct two existing gates. The Town of Wellsville plans to reconstruct an existing 15,000-square-foot hangar used for aircraft storage with its FAA grant.
“Investing in our local airports is essential to strengthening our regional infrastructure and economy,” Langworthy said. “I’m proud to support these FAA grants, which will help Wellsville and Olean airports make needed upgrades that improve safety, access, and future growth opportunities for our communities.”
