Olean- Kimbra L. Ball of Olean passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at home with a loving family by her side after a long illness.
Kimbra was born in Olean on February 20, 1958, the daughter of the late Shirley Griffin and Fordyce Ball.
She was a graduate of Jasper High School and then worked for Quality Markets for 20 years in the deli department. She also worked for the Olean General Hospital food service and then the Park N Shop, which is now Jim’s. Her favorite pastimes were shopping for sparkly clothes and antiques. She enjoyed the movies, hanging out with her kitties, and going on vacations, especially to the ocean. Kimbra was a loving daughter and mother who had a fun and creative spirit.
Kimbra is survived by her daughter, Danielle Merry; a sister, Michele Lockridge; a brother, Derrick Ball; two half-sisters, Misty George and Rachel Ball; and a nephew, Thomas Sharp.
She was predeceased by her parents, Shirley and Fordyce.
At Kimbra’s request, there will be no formal services.
