In just over six weeks, the Twin Tier football stars will converge for the annual Big Game, the Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic and as far as local talent goes, Otto-Eldred leads the pack.

Although the current New York and Pennsylvania rosters that have been released are subject to change, the current lineups show O-E standing out among their North Tier League counterparts. Finishing the season at 7-1 and entering the District 9 Class A playoffs with the six seed, the Terrors were ultimately sent home with a big loss to No. 3 Union-AC Valley. However, their efforts this past fall did not go in vain, as O-E will have four players taking to the field come August 2.

Davey Schenfield (WR/OLB/S, 6’3, 190), Hunter App (RB/MLB/OLB/S, 5’7, 155), Charlie Minard (T/DE/DT, 6’2, 235) and Jaden Prince (RB/FB/DE/OLB, 5’9, 175) will represent the Blue and Gold in the Big 30 game. They will also have another familiar face on their sideline as O-E head coach Troy Cook was chosen to lead the Pennslyvania All-Star team.

Staying with the NTL, both Port Allegany and Smethport produced three all-stars each.

Adding another D9 Class A Championship to their history books, the second in a three-year window, the Gators are no stranger to August’s gridiron. This year, Kelvin Burgess (WR/S, 5’10, 160), Jacob Causer (TE/DE, 6’2, 185) and Carson Neely (G/DT/DE, 6’0, 165) will suit up for Port Allegany.

Alex Yeager (WR/CB, 5’7, 160), Owen Rounsville (WR/Slot/S, 5’8, 165) and Boe Kinner (TE/DT, 6’2, 210) will represent the Hubbers, who finished 1-8 this past season.

Finding another down year last fall, Bradford finished 3-7 overall without an appearance in the D9 postseason. However, two Owls will represent their school just a few miles from their home field.

Evan Whitmore (T/MLB, 6’0, 200) and Carter Colley (WR/Slot/DE, 6’2, 175) round out the 12 local All-Stars.
