Wendy OldShield, 72, of Steamburg, NY, passed away September 9, 2026 at UPMC Chautauqua surrounded by family following a short illness.
Born October 16, 1953 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert OldShield and Delores Jimerson.
She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, Wolf Clan.
She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1971, and attended Cazenovia College.
Wendy had been employed as a parts runner and flagger with Coldspring Construction Company, Akron, NY for over ten years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gaming, attending music events, travelling with the AOA, and was an avid Buffalo Bandits fan.
Surviving are: four daughters, Fawn (James) Reibling, Dubuque, IA, Allison McIntee, Toronto, ON, Kerri (Donald Watson Jr.) Swiech, Olean, NY, Katrina (Jim) Ray, Salamanca, NY; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Wendy was predeceased by two brothers, William “Butch” OldShield and Robert OldShield.
Friends may call on the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
