Ann Mary Johnson Rogozinski, “Loving Bushia”

Allegany- Ann Mary Johnson Rogozinski, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at her residence in the Field of Dreams in Allegany, after a long illness.

Ann Mary was born in Olean on July 17, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Cecilia Christine (Cole) Johnson. On January 25, 1947 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, she married the love of her life, Sebastian (Subby) Rogozinski, who predeceased her.

She went to the St. Mary’s of the Angels grade school and graduated from Olean High School, class of 1947. Ann Mary very much loved her family, friends and her flowers. She enjoyed playing cards and scrabble with the children. Sending cards for all occasions, she became favorably called the “Hallmark Lady”.  Her favorite quote was “I am a proud mother. I gave them life. They gave me a reason to live”.

Ann Mary worked in retail and on the production line at AVX. She was a member of the Home School Association and the Alter-Rosary Society of the Transfiguration Church and also the Pulaski Club Auxiliary.

Ann Mary is survived by her children, Patricia MacDuffie, Rosemarie-Reese (Otto) Piedmont, Martin (Jeannie) Rogozinski, Elaine (Daniel) Wood, Christine (Shawn) McAnallen, Anthony (Jacki) Rogozinski and Stephen (Carroll) Rogozinski; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ceil Haynoski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Sebastian (Subby); her parents, Howard and Cecilia; a son-in-law, Richard (Dick) MacDuffie; a son-in-law, Richard (Rich) Dupre; a great granddaughter, Madison Nicklin; and her loving stepfather, Edmond (aka Midge) Duke

A memorial service celebrating Ann Mary will be held at a later date and time. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
