Jeanne M. (Moore) Sluga, 87, of Lebanon Road, Randolph, passed away, Sunday, November 24, 2024.

She was born September 2, 1937 in the Town of South Valley, NY, the daughter of the late Harrie Ashton and Anna Belle (Flatt) Moore.

Jeanne was a 1954 graduate of Randolph Central School and Bryant & Stratton Business College in Buffalo.

A lifelong area resident, she retired as a Senior Index Clerk for the Cattaraugus County Clerk’s Office. She and her late husband John owned and operated Johnny’s Grill in East Randolph from 1956-1974 and was also a Home maker to her family.

Her many interests included; raising and caring for her Arabian Horses, being a Troop Leader with the Randolph Area Girl Scouts. She also enjoyed doing crafts, sewing and gardening.

She is survived by a son; Steven (Janell) Sluga of Randolph, three daughters; Ann (Kip) Brown of Randolph, Catherine (Michael) Mata of Kennedy and Lisa (David) Boyer of Randolph, 10 grandchildren; twins: Kalan (Stephanie) and Kyle (Kerri) Brown, Kasey Brown, Tyler (Nichole) Mata, Zakery (Jordyn) Mata, Wesley and Wyatt Sluga, Brandon (Gennifer) Boyer, Annalise (Kaleb O’Neill) Boyer and Brett Boyer and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by husband Rudolph Richard “John” Sluga, whom she married on Feb. 26, 1957 and whom preceded her on July 5, 2016, and a sister; Joanne Herman on Nov. 19, 2024.

The family will receive family and friends from 4-7 PM on, December 11, 2024 from the Van Rensselaer & Son Funeral Home, Randolph. Funeral services will be held, December 12, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. The Rev. W. Mike Trenchard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Steamburg Cemetery.
