NIAGARA, NY — After a five-game losing skid, the Olean Oilers are back in the win column after taking care of business on the road against the Niagara Falls Americans.

Brian Fleming (1-for-3, 2 runs, 2 walks) got the scoring underway for Olean in the very first inning, coming home on a single from Aidan Willard (2-for-4, 3 RBI). Then, brushing off a two-run response in the bottom of the first, the Oilers then scored in each of the next four frames to establish control over the affair.
The Americans brought themselves back within a run after scoring three times in the sixth, but a resilient Oilers team tacked on five runs in the final two innings to secure victory.
Connor O’Mara (2-for-5, 2 runs, RBI) and Conner Vercollone (2-for-4, run, RBI) helped Willard lead the Olean offense on the night.
Brendan Roche picked up the win on the night, striking out three and allowing just two hits in 5.1 frames on the bump.
