Cassandra “Cassie” Arena, 38, of Great Valley, NY died unexpectedly Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Born October 1, 1988 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Amy Arena.

Cassie attended Salamanca High School and had worked at several area restaurants throughout the years, most recently as a bartender with Mill Street Sports Pub in Ellicottville, NY.

Cassie was a beautiful soul, both inside and out. Her infectious smile, contagious laugh, and vibrant personality could light up any room. She had a way of bringing joy to those around her, and to know Cassie was to love her.

She had a love for theater, the Buffalo Bills, and anything Tim Burton. She made countless friendships throughout the years, especially in the Ellicottville community, where she was known and loved by so many.

Above all else, Cassie’s greatest love was her children. They were her pride, her joy, and the center of her world. Nothing meant more to her than being their mom.

Cassie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter, her love for those around her, and the light she brought into so many lives. Though her time here was far too short, the memories she created and the love she shared will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

Surviving are: her daughter, Aimee Abrams, and her son, Camden Arena, both of Great Valley; a brother, Adam Arena (Mayra & Ava); uncles, Cass (Connie) Arena and Mark (Debbie) Arena; aunt, Shannon (Denny) Seybert; cousins, April Arena (Allison Revetti & Andee Mae Pierce), Andrew Arena (Aleah & Atticus), Victor (Katy) Arena (Adam & Alexander), Kerri (Marcus Dwaileebe) Arena (Serafina & Alyssa Dwaileebe), Marra (Damien) Stokes (Ryleigh & Joseph), Christina (Skyler) Martens (Ella, Anna, & Olivia), and Gia (Gavin Howard) Arena; along with many more cousins and an abundance of friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was predeceased by her mother, Amy Arena, and her grandmother, Alice “Bunny” Arena.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 3 – 6 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held.
