ST. BONAVENTURE — On April 29, the impeccable seasons of St. Bonaventure women’s lacrosse players Brooke Piper and Brit Colangelo were honored as they took home two of the Atlantic 10’s top postseason awards.

Piper, following her 60-goal season that ranked second of all players in the A10 and ninth in all of Div. I, was named the conference Midfielder of the Year. Her goal tally was the third highest in a single season in program history. She also tallied 61 draw controls, the sixth-most in a single-season in program history. Piper also set the new single-game program record in both points (11) and goals (9).

She is the first Bona player to ever receive the award.

Colanagelo led the A10 and ranked 20th in all of Div. I with 40 caused turnovers. For that effort she was named the conference Defensive Player of the Year.

Colangelo has been selected for an A10 postseason award in every season of her career, making the All-Rookie Team in 2023, the All-Conference Second Team in 2024 and the All-Conference First Team in 2025.

She is the first Bona player to receive the award since Eboni Preston did so in 2008.

Other Bona players to receive postseason awards included Megan Schillinger, who was named to the A10 All-Conference Second Team, and Gracie Williams, Riley Milligan and Brooke Owens, who were all named to the A10 All-Rookie Team.

The three All-Rookie team selections is the most in program history.
