LITTLE VALLEY — Cattaraugus County has only one county-wide election contest this year — for county clerk.

Darrell Klute, the incumbent county clerk, is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines.

He is being challenged by Kristin Marie Colburn, a Hinsdale Democrat who is running on the Working Families party line.

In another countywide election, Darryl Bloom, the county public defender, is running unopposed for a county judge vacancy on the Republican and Conservatives lines. Family Court Judge Moses Mark Howden is retiring.

Also running unopposed on the Republican and Conservative tickets is longtime Coroner Cleon W. Easton.

District 2 County Legislator Brenda Hanson, R-Delevan, is seeking re-election to a one-year term in November on the Republican and Conservative lines. She was appointed earlier this year to fill the vacancy created when Michael Briskey was named deputy county administrator. She is unopposed.

Nine supervisor candidates will be on the ballot in November. Seven of them will be incumbents seeking re-election. None of the candidates are opposed.

There are two county officials running as supervisor candidates, Real Property Tax Services Director Daniel Martonis, the incumbent who is running unopposed in Napoli, and Economic Development, Planning and Tourism Director Crystal Abers, who is running unopposed in Dayton to succeed Aaron Huber. Both supervisor candidates are Republicans.

Town candidates listed by the Cattaraugus County Board of Elections follow. Democrats are denoted with a D, Republicans with an R and Conservatives with a C. An x denotes an incumbent. There do not appear to be any contested town elections at this time.
