OLEAN — An Olean man was taken into custody by Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies Saturday morning after the officers said they saw drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view in the vehicle during a traffic stop on South Union Street.
Following a search of the car and driver deputies located a quantity of suspected LSD, a quantity of suspected acetaminophen and hydrocodone pills, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, a scale, packaging material, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
The driver, Richard J. Kozolowski, 39, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, LSD; fifth-degree criminal possession of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, a scale; third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, circumventing an interlock device and operating a vehicle without a device.
Kozlowski was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Olean Substation for processing. Kozlowski was processed and then transported to the City of Olean Court for arraignment.
Kozlowski was released under supervision and is due at Olean City Court at a later date.
