Wednesday Roundup: Terrors, Lady Owls split PA Wednesday hoops

AUSTIN, PA – The Otto-Eldred boys’ basketball team captured win No. 16 as they took down Austin, 69-10. 

Four Terrors ended in double-digit scoring throughout the win, with Landon Francis recording 21 points with a team-high four 3-pointers. Davey Schenfield followed closely behind with 17 while Shene Thomas had 12 and Michael Sheeler finishing with 11.

O-E now sits at 16-0 overall and 11-0 in the North Tier League.

ST. MARYS, PA – Playing without their star player Hayley Keane, the Lady Owls fell to the Lady Dutch, splitting the season series at 1-1.

Alyssa Johnson and Mackenzie Taylor both scored six points while Shavia Long, Maranda Davis and Kasey Poe each scored two points in the loss.

Girls Wrestling

Roy-Hart/Barker 19, Salamanca 15

The Lady Warriors dropped a closely-contested match to RH/B with wins coming from Maelonnee Bacellie and Kendra Bova-Redeye. Madison Mohr and Arianna Acosta suffered losses, but wrestled well. 

Salamanca now prepares for the Section IV Tournament, which begins on Friday, Feb. 14.
