PHILADELPHIA, PA — A treacherous stretch of games continues for the St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team, which is set to face its third top-four team in the Atlantic 10 in-a-row in the form of Saint Joseph’s.

The Bonnies enter the game against the Hawks, who currently occupy fourth place in the conference standings, on the back of three losses and will look to grab a big win on the road. Meanwhile, the Hawks are looking to put together a win streak after securing back-to-back wins over Fordham and UMass after consecutive losses to Duquesne and VCU.

Laura Ziegler will be the one running the show for Saint Joe’s as she leads the team in points, rebounds and assists per game averaging 17.4, 11.7 and 4.4 in those categories respectively.

Behind her will be Mackenzie Smith and Talya Brugler, who are more than capable of scoring the ball themselves. Smith averages 15.5 and Brugler averages 14.1 points per game and they combine for 9.6 rebounds per game as well.

As for the Bonnies, the trio of Dani Haskell, Zoe Shaw and Caitlin Frost will once again lead the lines.

Haskell leads the Bonnies in the scoring department with 14.2 points per contest with Frost and Shaw averaging 10.1 and 10.0 respectively.

The game against Saint Joe’s is the first of a two-game road trip for Bona which will square off against Fordham before returning home. Tip-off between the Hawks and Bonnies is set for 7 p.m. on Jan. 22.
