OLEAN — Genesis House of Olean, will host a Spring Resource Fair on Friday, May 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lincoln Park, 131 S. Union St., bringing essential community services directly to residents in an accessible outdoor setting.

The event is designed to connect individuals and families with local service providers while reducing barriers that can make accessing help difficult. Organizers say the fair will offer a welcoming environment where community members can meet providers face-to-face, ask questions, and learn about available resources in a relaxed and approachable atmosphere.

A wide range of agencies and organizations will be on site offering information and assistance related to housing resources, mental health services, addiction recovery programs, peer support, case management, and other community-based supports.

Free hot dogs and refreshments will be available while supplies last, encouraging attendees to stay, engage, and build connections with local providers.

The outreach effort reflects the ongoing mission of Genesis House, which works in partnership with the United Way, to provide secure temporary housing and supportive services that help homeless adults and families transition to more stable housing. By hosting events such as the resource fair, the organization aims to make community supports more visible, approachable, and easier to navigate.

Community members are invited to attend whether they are seeking assistance, supporting a loved one, or simply looking to learn more about resources available in Olean.

The Spring Resource Fair is free and open to the public. Organizers encourage residents, partners, and community organizations to share information about the event to help reach individuals and families who may benefit from available services.
