BUFFALO, NY – Falling behind in the second half, the No. 7 seed Salamanca boy’s basketball team was unable to buy a return ticket to the Section 6 Class B1 semifinals, instead losing to Olmstead 49-34.
Taking the almost two-hour ride north, the Warriors arrived at the doorstep of No. 2 Olmstead. Having sharpened their talents in their 65-49 win over JFK just a few days earlier, Salamanca initially kept in stride with Olmstead. However, as they entered the second half, the Warriors quickly began falling behind, being outscored 21-6 in the third and 30-14 in the second half altogether.
Payton Bradley led the Warriors in scoring with 14, followed by Adrian Taylor with 12.

BUFFALO, NY – Facing the top seeded team in Class B2, the Gators’ season came to an end far from home as an early deficit snowballed into a 38-point loss to Tapestry.
Ryan Callen ended with a game-high 13 points, followed by Nolan O’Brien with 11 and five rebounds and Nash Brady who finished with eight points.

DEPEW, NY – The No. 8 seed Olean girls basketball team officially saw its season come to a close at the hands of No. 1 seed Depew.
The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead over the Huskies and managed to carry the advantage through all four quarters. Olean won the third quarter by a 13-12 margin, but scored single digit points in each of the other frames in the defeat.
