PORT ALLEGANY, PA – On a night where ten Gators made their way into the score books, the Port Allegany boy’s basketball team kept their hot streak alive, beating Smethport 66-26.
Port got off to a hot start and didn’t look back. Led by a flurry of offense in the first quarter that put the Gators up by 15, Jarrod Funk then took the reins in the second, scoring eight of their 18 points to build up a 41-14 lead by halftime.
From there, they cruised to another victory as they picked up their ninth win of the year. The Hubbers, on the other hand, were sent back to the drawing board as they searched for an answer to their struggles.
Funk led all scorers on the night with 18, also contributing five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Isac Amell ended with 13 points, four assists and three steals while Chase Boyd tallied 11 points – accompanied by three 3-pointers – and two assists.
For Smethport, Holden Smith had 10 points and Colin Okerlund had nine.

BRADFORD, PA – A poor first half steamrolled into the Panthers worst loss of the season as they fell to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference-leading Lions.
Unable to get their offense off the ground, Pitt-Bradford only managed to put 15 points on their side of the scoreboard through the first 20 minutes of play. Even though they were able to outscore St.-Behrend in the second, albeit by just three points, the Panthers were unable to erase the deficit, instead losing by 32.
