SALAMANCA, NY – Powered by Payton Bradley and Dominick Hill, the Salamanca boy’s basketball team powered past Falconer for their second win of the season, claiming a 51-36 victory in hostile territory.
Shaking off a slow start that garnered only eight points, the Warriors steadily found improvement on both sides of the ball. With their defense holding the Golden Falcons to just six points, Salamanca’s offense pulled ahead with a 13-point second quarter, with Bradley and Brendon Ghani combining for eight. In the third, Bradley chipped in six more points as Salamanca outscored Falconer 15-9, widening their advantage to double-digits entering the final quarter of play.
Closing out the game with stellar work at the free throw line, Hill carried the Warriors over the finish line with nine of their 15 points in the final quarter.
Peyton finished the game with 19 points while Hill, who shot 4-for-4 at the charity stripe in the fourth, ended with 13.
