KILL BUCK — There are more than 1,000 small American flags lined up outside Alan Robison’s Kill Buck home again this Veterans Day.
On Saturday, the flags lined a green lawn. By Monday, the flags were surrounded by a coating of white snow.
It seems like Robison’s patriotic display in front of his Kill Buck Road home grows bigger each year. It started in 2010 with a single sign that read “Thank U All Vets.”
Several years ago he added life-sized figures representing each branch of the nation’s military. Service flags fly behind them.
Robison’s late father Willis Robison, an Air Force veteran, was the inspiration for the patriotic display. His father was of the opinion that people didn’t care much about veterans.
An American flag and a Prisoner Of War fly from a flagpole in front of the house.

From people’s reaction to the display over the past 15 years, Robison has come to realize that people do appreciate veterans and that veterans appreciate the display.
People honk their horns as they drive by and occasionally some veteran will stop in his driveway and thank him.
He also gets thank you cards addressed to the Kill Buck Flag House.
