NEW BETHLEHEM, PA – Continuing to keep their hot season rolling, the Port Allegany football team dispatched another team via blowout, beating Redbank Valley 36-6.
Scoring would be a constant for the Gators, who earned a spot on the scoreboard in the opening quarter with a 25-yard pass from Nick Wilfong to Aidan Bliss. Although they would fail to get the extra two points and while Redbank would respond at the top of the second quarter, Bliss and Co. would be undeterred.
Holding the Bulldogs scoreless from then on, Bliss would find the endzone four more times throughout the next two and a half quarters. As Port’s offense continuously plotted routes to the goal line, Bliss would finish each drive off with short runs that would put points on the scoreboard, ultimately walking off the field with four touchdowns in the win.
Finishing with another 200-plus rushing yard performance, Bliss would tally 203 yards on the ground and 37 through the air. Brennan Fillhart completed 10 of his 17 passes for 85 yards, targeting Kellen Veilluex six times for 54 yards. On defense, Julian Kaple led the Gators with nine tackles while Wilfong had five.
