Olean- Karen Marie Saglimben Silloway “Loving Wife, Sister, & Aunt”
Karen Marie Saglimben Silloway of Hillcrest Ave passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital following an illness.
Karen was born on October 31, 1957, in Olean and was the daughter of Carl Philip and Rosemary Butinski Saglimben. On October 17, 1987, in St. Bonaventure University Chapel, she married Richard R. Silloway.
Karen was a 1975 graduate of Allegany Central High School; she continued her education at Alfred State where she received an Associate Degree in Medical Records. She was a manager at the women’s clothing store, David’s then G&G in the Olean Center Mall. Karen then worked for Southern Tier Realty for many years, until her retirement in 2004. She enjoyed helping anyone and was always giving. Karen will be remembered as always being a very generous and caring person who enojoyed being with her family.
Beside her very loving husband, Richard, Karen is survived by her three brothers, Mark P. (Patty) Saglimben of Allegany, Brian J. (Gretchen) Saglimben of Longhorn, PA., and Michael J. Saglimben of Allegany, her niece, Lauren (Dean) Whitcomb, and nephews, Dominic (Nateal) Saglimben, Brian Saglimben, Drew Saglimben, and Kyle Saglimben.
Friends will be received for a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
