BRADFORD, PA – In less than a week, the ninth annual Corporate Cup Soccer Showcase is set to kick off and to no one’s surprise, Bradford fans will be watching a swath of Lady Owls take to the field.
The Lady Owls have been a dominant force in District 9 soccer for close to a decade, winning six straight D9 titles of late. However, this past year they faltered, losing their spot on the throne to DuBois. But it wasn’t due to lack of talent, which is mirrored on the roster. The Lady Owls will send four athletes to the Gold game, tying Warren for the most. Port Allegany sends four Lady Gators to the Showcase as well, with a pair playing in both the 2:30 p.m. Silver Game and another two to the 7:30 p,m. Gold game.
In the Silver game, which starts at 2:30 p.m., Curwensville controls the lineup with five selections, followed by Elk County Catholic and Kane with three apiece.
