OLEAN, NY – Facing the Hornell Steamers twice in two days, the Olean Oilers found their second blowout win in a row as they earned a 10-1 win, tallying their 17th win of the season.

In their Thursday competition, Olean recorded a flurry of production in the batters’ box as Oilers walked away with two or more hits, Boffalo included. His talents carried over into Friday as the sophomore from Canisius College drove in the first run of the day with an RBI-single. He would kick start a three-run first frame before Olean doubled down with six in the fifth inning.

After Chase Fischer doubled to bring in Josh Wilson, Boffalo would step up again. Drilling another single, he drove in Brian Fleming before stealing second and ultimately scoring on a Jake Ambrosio sac-fly. By then, the Oilers were sitting upon a 7-0 run that grew to 9-0 before the end of the fifth. Olean would score once more in the sixth – a Cross Yarborough triple brought in who other than Boffalo – their defensive efforts would stunt the Steamers, sealing their second consecutive win.

Boffalo finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two more driven in while Fleming (2-for-4) and Fischer (2-for-3) each scored twice. Fischer also ended with an RBI alongside Ambrosio who tallied two on his 1-for-2 day at the plate.
