Olean, NY- Marlene Kline Roof, 67, of Olean passed away Saturday (April 12, 2025) at home after a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
Born January 15, 1958, in Ridgway, PA, to the late Donald and Bernice Kline. On April 15, 1978, at St. Leo’s Church in Ridgway, PA, she married the love of her life, Thomas Roof who survives. They would have celebrated 47 years of marriage this week.
Marlene was a graduate of Ridgway Area High School. She worked as a payroll specialist for Blue Bird Coach Lines, GFC/Buffamante, Whipple & Buttafaro, and Beacon Light, where she retired from. Marlene dedicated her life and took pride and joy in being heavily involved with raising her girls and being there to support them along with her husband, talking to them daily.
Throughout her life, she was a committed hard worker and provided a nice, loving home for her family. She enjoyed day trip adventures and food stops with her husband and especially going to the beach.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, of Olean, NY; daughters, Johnese (John) Roof of Olean and Sara Roof of Golden, CO; and was a proud Nana to her beloved grandbabies, Pepper, Gravy, and Richard, who were very special to her. In addition to her parents, Donald and Bernice, Marlene was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, George and Anna Roof, and a brother-in-law, Judge Vernon (Buddy) Roof.
Funeral Services for Marlene are being held privately by the family.
Burial will follow at St Bonaventure Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home.
