AVON — The Salamanca girls lacrosse team went into halftime only down one goal to Livonia-Avon-Geneseo as it searched for its first win of the campaign.
A search that the Warriors, unfortunately, must continue after being out-scored 10-3 in the second half.
But there was a silver lining in the loss as Leilene McComber, who has put the team on her back so far this season, recorded the 100th goal of her lacrosse career.
McComber will look to add to that number and lead Salamanca to its first win of the season next time out at Orchard Park on April 23 at 5:30 p.m.
