Steven R. Haberberger, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother

Eldred- Steven R. Haberberger, Eldred, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Steve was born in St. Mary’s PA, on June 17, 1958, the son of the late Walter L. and Lois E. (Kopp) Haberberger. On March 5, 1993, in Olean, he married the former Beverly J. Heschel, who survives.

He graduated from Portville Central School in 1977, going to work for Cooper Power Systems. He also owned and operated Hab’s Sharpening Service. Steve belonged to the Laborer’s Local 621 Union. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies included woodworking, cabinetry, and target shooting.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his stepdaughter, Stephanie Williams; his siblings, Mike Haberberger, Janie (Bob Holtz) Depp, Karen Bird, Barbie (Rob) Frungillo, Greg (Karen) Haberberger; several stepgrandsons and step great-grandsons; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Lois; a stepson Gary M. Williams; a sister, Cynthia L. D’Apice, and two brothers, Jeffrey W. and Kenneth L. Haberberger.

Per Steve’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean.
