John “Jack” S. Bach, 69, of Salamanca, NY died Saturday, March 15, 2025 at home following a short illness.
Born August 2, 1955 in Salamanca, NY , he was the son of the late John and Dorothy Grudgen Bach. He was married January 3, 2010 to the former Diane Schroder, who survives.
He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1973.
John had been employed with Bradford Forest Products, retiring in 2021 and had previously been employed with Bush Industries and the former Fancher Furniture Company.
He will be remembered for being an advocate for the City of Salamanca, attending city council meetings. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, and as an avid football fan.
Surviving besides his wife are: a son, John Bach Jr., Salamanca, NY; a granddaughter, Olivia Bach, Salamanca, NY; two grandsons, Mitchell Bach and Gibson Bach, both of Salamanca, NY; two step-daughters, Christy (Mike) Meacham, Jennifer (Jonathan Pratt) Meacham, both of Jamestownm NY; two sisters, Susan Arrowsmith, Marcia Mongillo, both of Salamanca, NY; several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
