DUKE CENTER, PA – Kicking off the new year, Davey Schenfield led the Otto-Eldred boys’ basketball team to their eighth win of the season, recording a career-high 27 points in the Terrors’ 69-18 victory over Austin.

Out of the gates, Schenfield took a hold of O-E’s offense, contributing points from the floor and the free throw line. Through two quarters, he had scored 23 of the Terrors’ 59 first-half points.

“Davey’s worked hard and he’s really starting to understand how to play both sides of the ball,” said Otto-Eldred head coach Derrick Francis. “Our guards really got Davey going early and distributed the ball well to him.”

Along with Schenfield’s 27, three other Terrors ended in double-digit scoring. Leading the team in 3-pointers with three, Landon Francis tallied 23 points. His guard counterpart Manning Splain ended with 16 points while the man in the middle, Shene Thomas, finished with 11 points in the win.

With the win over the Tigers, O-E moves to 4-0 in the North Tier League and 8-0 overall. They travel to take on another NTL opponent in Oswayo Valley tomorrow.
