PORT ALLEGANY, PA – Facing off for the second time this season, the Bradford girls’ basketball team was able to even out the series, beating Port Allegany 36-17 with stifling second-half defense.

The first time these two teams squared off was the opening weekend of the season, when the Lady Owls fell to the Lady Gators in the consolation game of the Randy Stebbins Memorial Tournament. Just over two weeks later, Bradford had found its groove: Haley Keane.

Throughout the budding season, Keane has led the Lady Owls in scoring and against the Port, it was no different. Opening up the game with three points in the first and following it with six points in the second, she managed to help put her team in front. Entering the second half, it would take all of the Lady Owls to hold Port nearly scoreless, allowing just six points as Bradford tallied their third win of the season.

Keane ended with a team-high 15 points, followed by Alyssa Johnson with Mackenzie Taylor with eight and Alyssa Johnson with five.
