BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team fell to Bowling Green, 92-41, Saturday afternoon at the Stroh Center in Ohio.

Freshman Hannah Richardson paced the Bonnies with nine points on 4-of-12 shooting. Dani Haskell chipped in seven points for the Bonnies while Lena Walz tallied six points.

Bowling Green jumped out to an early eight-point lead over the first four minutes of the contest, but a three-point play from Zoe Shaw and a 3-pointer from Haskell pulled the Bonnies within four, forcing a Falcons timeout.

The Falcons ended the first quarter on a 6-0 run, holding the Bonnies scoreless over the final two minutes and taking a 29-15 lead.

It was more of the same in the second period as Bowling Green grew its lead to as many as 19 points, leading the Bonnies 44-25 at the break. The Falcons shot 60.7 percent from the floor in the first half to build their advantage.

A 23-0 run from Bowling Green spanning over six minutes of the third quarter put the game out of reach for the Bonnies as the Falcons took a 71-32 lead after three.

Amy Velasco poured in a game-high 22 points for the Falcons.
