ALLEGANY – Assemblyman Joe Sempolinski, R-Canisteo, will hold a town hall meeting June 29, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Village of Allegany Municipal Building, 106 E. Main St.
Sempolinski said he wants to share what is going on in Albany at the town hall and hear the concerns of residents first-hand.
“Talking to people in the district and hearing their concerns is the most important part of my job,” Sempolinski said. “Like most upstate communities, Allegany faces challenges imposed by Albany. I’m holding this town hall so people can share with me, face-to-face, what their concerns are.”
Since taking office in January of 2025, the assemblyman has hosted town hall meetings across the 148th Assembly District. This will be the ninth town hall meeting that he has hosted or co-hosted. The 148th Assembly District includes all of Cataraugus and Allegany counties and aprt of Steuben County.
“I don’t work for anybody in Albany. I work for the people in the 148th District. It’s my job to fight for common-sense legislation to improve their lives and ensure a brighter future for them and their families. That’s why it’s so important for me to meet with the folks I represent to make sure I am faithfully bringing their concerns to the halls of power in Albany,” Sempolinski said.
