CURWENSVILLE, PA — Facing the best team in the District 9 Class A bracket, the Otto-Eldred’s softball team came to a close in just three frames, ultimately being eliminated in the quarterfinals, 20-0.
Sneaking into the playoffs as the sixth and final seed, the Lady Terrors had a tall task ahead of them and through the first frame, it became mountainous. After being dispatched in four, O-E then watched as the Golden Tide racked up hit after hit, scoring 12 runs in an inning that saw four singles, four doubles, a triple and a homerun.
Unable to counter, let alone make contact, during their next at bat, the Lady Terrors’ season fell out of reach as Curwensville posted another eight runs, all but sealing the inevitable.
Baylee Francis tallied O-E’s lone hit of the afternoon, going 1-for-2 while also registering three strikeouts while in the circle.
The Lady Terrors officially end their season at 9-6.
