Elk County Catholic 51, Otto-Eldred 24
DUKE CENTER, PA – In a rematch of last year’s District 9 Class A championship, the Crusaders were able to exact revenge, subduing the Terrors with stifling defense as they planted their flag in the Terror Dome with a 27-point win.
ECC jumped out in front early, outscoring O-E by 10 in the first quarter, then expanding on their lead by allowing just two Terror points in the following eight minutes. Although O-E had their best scoring quarter in the third, their efforts fell short of closing the gap.
Michael Sheeler and Jack Sherry both scored nine points in the win, while Wyatt Blendinger ended with two.
The Terrors (8-3) have five days until they next take the hardwood. That game, on Wednesday at 7:30, will take place as a North Tier League contest as they travel to Smethport to take on the Hubbers.
