RUSSELL, PA – Closing their season out on the road, the Port Allegany boy’s soccer team suffered a 4-2 loss to Eisenhower after a barrage of early offense.
Hopping on a bus for the hour and a half trip to meet the Knights, the Gators were met with a pair of early goals. Eisenhower’s Bryceton Wilkins and Mason Degnan both punched in goals within the first eight minutes of play.
However, Alex Schott answered back. Becoming the fourth leading scorer in school history, Schott knocked in back-to-back goals to tie the game at 2-2 four minutes later, tallying career goal No. 53 and 54.
Unfortunately, the Knights wouldn’t let Port celebrate for too long, once again pulling ahead with a goal from Wilkins in the 25th minute. Eisenhower would go on to score the game-sealing fourth goal later in the second half.
Jarrod Funk came away with two assists for Port while Aiden Stuckey recorded nine saves in the loss. Port ends their 2025 campaign at 2-15-1.
