Olean Mayor Amy B. Sherburne has announced the beginning of a series of monthly town halls beginning Monday, Oct. 26, at the John J. Ash Center.
The town hall meeting is scheduled for 6-7 p.m. at the John J. Ash Center on North Barry Street.
Sherburne said she plans to host town hall meetings on the last Monday of each month “creating a regular opportunity for community members to connect directly with the mayor, ask questions, share ideas and discuss the issues that matter most to our community.”
Sherburne said, “These monthly Town Halls are about open communication and listening. They are a place for residents to bring forward concerns, offer suggestions, learn more about what is happening in our city and have a direct conversation with the mayor.”
The mayor will offer a brief overview of current city priorities and initiatives at each meeting, followed by an opportunity for community discussion and questions.
“The objective is simple: to create a consistent, accessible forum where residents and the mayor can communicate directly and work together toward a stronger community,” Sherburne said.
