Portville – Leland (Lee) Foster Tuttle Jr. passed away Sunday (October 11, 2026) at the Olean General Hospital.
Lee was born September 11, 1942, the son of Leland and Vivian (Libby) Tuttle. He graduated from Olean High School in 1960. Lee married Barbara Wisel on March 15, 1969, at the Christ United Methodist Church in Olean, N.Y.
Lee served in the U.S. Army from 1964 – 1968. He was in an elite intelligence branch referred to as ASA (Army Security Agency). Lee worked as an Assistant Forman, in the Composing Room, at the Olean Times Herald.
He enjoyed golfing, camping, swimming and traveling.
Lee is survived by his wife; daughter, Jennifer Lee Tuttle; sister, Joy Tuttle Keifer; and brother Seth V. Tuttle.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother AJ Tuttle.
Per Lee and his families wishes there will be no services. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean.
