JAMESTOWN, NY – Completing their two-game road trip in Jamestown, the Portville volleyball picked up another Chautauqua Cattaraugus Athletic Association win as they took down the Red & Green in three.
The Panthers opened up the night holding Jamestown at bay with a 25-22 win before repeating the feat with an identical victory in the second set. To wrap up the night, Portville sealed their fifth win of the season with a final 25-17 win.
Ava Scanlon finished with 10 kills and five digs in the win, followed by Leigha Stives with eight kills, two aces and two blocks. Marissa Carls ended the night with 28 assists and three digs.
Sitting at the top of the CCAA standings, Portville next returns home for a one-game home stand against Falconer on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Otto-Eldred 3, Port Allegany 0
DUKE CENTER, PA – Facing off against their North Tier League rivals, the Lady Terrors put forth a dominant performance, winning 25-20, 25-12 and 25-21 as they tightened their grip around the league standings.
Rayel Hakes ended with 13 kills and six blocks while Ayla Van Scoter had eight kills and 13 digs. Emma Button reached 1,500 career assists with 27 during the win, also collecting three kills and four digs.
Boy’s Soccer
Brookville 2, Bradford 1
BRADFORD, PA – The Owls were unable to defend their home turf against the Rovers, ultimately suffering a fourth consecutive loss.
Lucas Hinchman scored Bradford’s lone goal of the evening.
The Owls will return to action on Saturday, when they host Kane at 4 p.m.
Randolph 3, Salamanca 0
RANDOLPH, NY – Seeing their fifth league opponent of the season, the Warriors suffered their fourth loss in five games as they were shut out by the Cardinals.
At 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the CCAA Division I standings, Salamanca next travels to Silver Creek/Forestville on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
