TUESDAY ROUNDUP: Bradford, Port Allegany volleyball tack on first losses; Huskies open with a win

DUBOIS, PA – Playing in their second consecutive road game, the Bradford volleyball team picked up a first loss of the season, dropping to DuBois 25-21, 25-10 and 25-18. 

Haley Keane continued to lead the Lady Owls at the net, finishing the night with nine kills and six blocks alongside a pair of aces. Aliya Corignani came away with two blocks and two aces while facilitating the offense with assists, followed by Diedra Johnson, who tallied 12 digs in the win.

Up next, Bradford will finally return home, hosting Brockway on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Olean 3, Rush Henrietta 0

OLEAN, NY – Christening the season on their home court, the Huskies narrowly swept Rush Henrietta, collecting their first win of the season at 25-20, 25-19 and 25-23. 

Olean returns to action on Thursday when they face their first league opponent, Portville. That game, which will be hosted by the Panthers, is slated for a 7 p.m. start. 

Johnsonburg 3, Port Allegany 1

PORT ALLEGANY, PA – After falling behind two-sets-to-one, the Lady Gators were unable to salvage a comeback, ultimately suffering their first loss of the season at the hands of the Ramettes. 

Gianna Glasgow ended with seven kills and six serve points, while Tessa Rendos tallied 17 digs for Port. 

After a one-day hiatus, the Lady Gators will return to action for their second North Tier League matchup, a contest on the road against Northern Potter on Thursday.
