Shirley E. Pierce – Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother
Olean – Shirley E. Pierce, of Olean, passed away Thursday (July 23, 2026) at Olean General Hospital, with loving family by her side.
Shirley was born in Olean at St. Francis Hospital on November 6, 1949, the daughter of Ronald and Elizabeth (Lamberton) Chapman.
After graduating from Richburg Central School, Shirley went on to work at the Castle Motel, Times Herald, and Farnsworth Cookies.
Shirley loved to dance, fish, hunt, attend family gatherings and picnics, spend time with family, and was a Buffalo Bills fan.
Shirley is survived by her loving partner of 42 years, Robin Little of Olean; children, Tracie Wilson of Texas, Ed (Kim) Pierce of Texas, Shannon (Jeremy) Mikolajczk of Hinsdale; siblings, Cheryl Warner, Rick (Delores) Chapman, Sharon Simmons, Ron Chapman, Raymond Chapman, Cathy Chapman; grandchildren, Scott (Nikki) Hamel, Sarah (Robert) Godwin, Seth Pierce, Zack (Bethany) Pierce, all of Texas, and Derek Mikolajczk of Hinsdale; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, John Wilson, Randall Chapman and Royce Chapman.
Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home, Inc.,1303 E. State St., Olean.
