183rd Cattaraugus County Fair starts Saturday; presale tickets now available

LITTLE VALLEY — Advance sale tickets to the 183rd Cattaraugus County Fair that runs Aug. 1-8 are now on sale through Friday, July 31.

Presale tickets are $14 for ages two and over, which include unlimited Amusements of America midway rides. There is free parking behind the grandstand.

Presale tickets are available at the fair office, 501 Erie St., Little Valley; all Cattaraugus County Bank locations, Community Bank locations, Highpoint Credit Union locations, South Dayton Super Duper and online via etix.com. Presale tickets are available until the end of the day on Friday.

Tickets are required for all paid grandstand shows. Visitors who prefer a particular grandstand section or seat or who simply do not want to wait in line can go on the ETIX.com website and reserve seats by following the simple prompts. Tickets can then be printed or shown at the gate on a cell phone. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day of the show, pending availability.

Opening night’s grandstand show is the local Demolition Derby.

Tuesday night, country singer Dylan Scott will perform in concert in front of the grandstand. From Louisiana, Scott is known for his deep, conversational baritone drawl and fusion of traditional country with R&B rhythms. He has notched multiple number 1 radio hits including “My Girl,” “Nobody” and “I Have Mine.” His self-titled debut album dropped in 2016, launching him into the country spotlight.

Opening for Scott is Highway Home.

Wednesday night’s featured grandstand performer is country music singer-songwriter Sammy Kershaw, who has three platinum and six gold albums with 5 million records and 100 millions songs streamed. He’s often referred to as the heir apparent to the legendary. George Jones. His hits include: “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “Queen of My Doublewide Trailer” and “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore.” Appearing with Kershaw is 19-year-old Louisiana country singer John Foster.

On Sunday, celebrate the 250th birthday of our country on Patriotic Day, with reduced admission of $12, as well as special vendor pricing. “Come for the rides and exhibits and then stay for the free grandstand show that night, the Black Cat Hell Drivers.

On Monday, Youth Day/Senior Day, youths age 15 and under and seniors age 62 and older will be admitted for $10 until 4 p.m., $7 off the regular gate price.

The county fairs also presents free grounds entertainment daily throughout the week.
