Brooke Baker

April 14, 1966 – July 19, 2026

Brooke Baker, 60, of Salamanca, NY, died peacefully while holding the hands of his wife and daughter, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born April 14, 1966, in Brighton, England, he was the son of the late Norman and Sheila Baker (Mann). He found a lifetime of love with his wife, Kimberly Baker (Steiner), who survives.

Brooke’s decades as a branch manager for Community Bank were a testament to his dedication to the people of Western New York. He focused on the hopes and needs of his customers, taking immense pride in helping countless community members achieve their dreams.

He loved the game of golf and played well, winning a few tournaments along the way. He enjoyed the camaraderie of the game just as much as a birdie. He spent weekends with close friends, watching the Bills, playing virtual golf, and preparing for the hunting season. Brooke was also a dedicated fan of the Buffalo Sabres and the Boston Red Sox.

Brooke’s greatest pride was the meaningful relationships with family and friends. He was a deeply devoted husband to his wife, Kim, and an incredible father to his daughter, Ashleigh Baker, and his favorite pup, Lyco. He was surrounded by an extraordinary circle of friends and extended family who will miss his warmth, his goofy behavior, and his generous spirit.

Surviving besides his wife and daughter are: his brother, Todd Baker (Christiane); father-in-law, Fred Steiner; nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews and the countless family and friends who brightened his life every day, with visits and phone calls which always ended with, “I love you, man”.

Brooke’s family wishes to express their deep gratitude to all the people who helped him participate in life. You supported him to do the things that were important to him, and spent time with him when it got difficult – he never felt he was battling alone.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 1 – 4 p.m. Brooke requested a non-traditional gathering – please dress in your comfortable clothing (no need to wear formal black attire) and come with a song in mind that reminds you of him. A celebration of life party will be scheduled next year.
