Frank E. Clark, 86, of Great Valley, NY, died Wednesday morning, July 8, 2026 following a short illness.

Born November 6, 1939 in Great Valley, he was the son of the late Milford and Virginia Whitcomb Clark. He was married June 20, 1964 at the former Kissinger United Methodist Church to the former Barbara Crooks, who survives.

He was a graduate of Ellicottville High School, Class of 1957.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Rome, NY.

Frank had been a self-employed farmer, working on the Clark family farm for over 50 years and drove cattle truck to auctions in Hinsdale and Springville. He had also been employed with York Merrit and Signore Inc. in Ellicottville and owned and operated Frank Clark’s Construction for over 50 years. He also worked as a caretaker at Green Cemetery for over 30 years.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his family, especially grandchildren, doing word searches, playing cards, and was an avid reader. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ellicottville, NY, the Great Valley Senior Group, and a past member of the Great Valley Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his wife are: a daughter, Michelle Clark Green, Hendersonville, NC; two sons, Shawn (Kathy) Clark, East Randolph, NY, Bryan (Nichole) Clark, Great Valley, NY; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Clark, KY, Bryce (Mary Ann) Clark, FL; special nieces, Bonnie McCarty, KY, Brenda Turner, Springville, NY; several other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Marian Keyes, and a brother, Kenneth Clark.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 9 – 11 a.m., at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Jerry Sutton officiating.

Full military honors will be conducted by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post 5296.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association: alz.org/wny, the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital: stjude.org/donate, or the donor’s choice.
