SHIPPENSBURG, PA – Taking to the Pennsylvania Track and Field State Championship meet this past weekend, Fabian Sherk led the Owls in his last time putting on the uniform, earning a top ten finish during the two-day affair.
Coming in ranked 29th out of the 33 qualifiers, Sherk placed seventh in the triple jump on Friday, the first day of the meet, at 46-3.25. Improving by roughly three feet from last week’s District 9 Class 3A championship meet, his final leap lands him at second on the Owls’ all-time program standings. During the next day, Sherk competed in the long jump, earning sixth overall at 22’6.5.
Along with Sherk’s top ten, Enzo Aiello also broke single digits, coming in ninth in the pole vault at 13-9, just missing out on a medal. After finishing his high school career as Bradford’s second-best vaulter, Aiello will continue to pursue track and field while attending Edinboro University next year.
