SALAMANCA, NY – Seeing the Warriors for the second time in as many days, the Olean baseball team once again took care of business, sweeping Salamanca with a 15-3 six-inning win in hostile territory.

The Huskies didn’t waste time putting the ball in play. Leading off the afternoon was Austin Miles, who cracked a triple on the opening at-bat before being brought in one batter later from a sac-fly from Landon Johnson. Loading the bases immediately after, Olean then opened the floodgates with six more runs through the initial frame, including another triple from Miles.

Largely holding the Warriors at bay through the next five frames, the Huskies bookmarked their eighth win of the season with another massive surge, scoring six in the sixth to pull away and enact the mercy rule.

Miles finished with a game-high four hits through his five trips to the plate, bringing four Huskies around home plate and scoring twice himself. Ethan Woodring finished 2-for-3 with three runs scored and one more batted in, while Grady Smucinski ended 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

For Salamanca, Conner Seeley ended 2-for-3 with one run scored.
