EMPORIUM, PA – The Port Allegany baseball team managed to keep its unbeaten start to the season alive behind a 7-6 nailbiter win over Cameron County.

The Gators officially moved to 5-0 on the year, but did not get there without a scare, as Cameron County threatened to play the spoiler by shaving what was a six-run lead to just one with five runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Two scoreless frames after the late eruption from the hosts closed out the victory.

Liam Hawver and Kellen Veilleux both went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Port Allegany. Hawver tallied two RBI as well.

Iziah Pertuzzi and Gavin Moses each had two RBI on the night as well.
