Richard A. Johnny-John, 64, of Salamanca, NY, died Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Born September 11, 1961, in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Cecil Johnny-John and Norma Jimerson.

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, and of the Turtle Clan.

Richard was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1980.

He had been employed as a diesel cashier with Seneca One Stop, and had previously worked as a laborer with the Seneca Nation of Indians.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the Salamanca Bar Pool League. He was an avid Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, and Green Bay Packers Fan.

Surviving are: a daughter, Rochelle Johnny-John, MI, a grandchild, two sisters, Lynne Cowher, Andrea Jimerson, both of Salamanca, NY, four brothers; David Sinclair, Steamburg, NY, David Jimerson, Salamanca, NY, Andrew Beltron, AZ, Russell Johnny-John, Salamanca, NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents Richard and Colleen Johnny-John, Avery and Fidelia Jimerson, a sister, Resa Jimerson, a brother, Daniel Jimerson, Uncles Lyford, Michael and Kevin, and a nephew Robert Shaffer Jr.

Friends may call at the Coldspring Longhouse beginning Sunday after 4pm and continuing all day Monday.

Funeral services will be held in the Longhouse on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 10am, with Speakers of the Longhouse officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
