Ralph Carlton Clark, loving husband, father, and grandfather

Portville- Ralph Carlton Clark, 89, of Portville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Ralph was born on March 21, 1936, in Oneida, NY, to Jacob and Lillian Clark. He joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and proudly served as a mechanic, achieving the rank of Sargent. He married Dorothy J. Fichtner, and they spent 66 years together until her passing in 2024.

Ralph was a loving husband and father who loved working with his hands, building homes, furniture, and, of course, working on cars. He was a strong man with a kind heart and was always the first to offer his help to his family, friends, church, and community.

Ralph is survived by his sons, Craig (Tina) Clark, and Cory (Tara) Clark; his grandchildren, Megan (Randy) Reveal, Shaina (Matthew) Sirianni, and Hillary Schrum; four great-grandchildren, Faith Reveal, Nevaeh Clark, and Theodore and Colden Sirianni; a brother, Roy Clark, and two sisters, Judy Dahyer, and Nancy (Dave) Bruno.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, a daughter, Brenda Pendergast, and a grandson, Mason Clark.

The family will hold a private memorial in Ralph’s honor. He will be laid to rest next to his wife and daughter in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean.
