Every year, for the past 47, the day before the Super Bowl I’ve written a column about Super Bowl Prop bets.
If that phrase is lost on you, prop bets are all manner of potential wagers tied to the game: length of the National Anthem, color of Gatorade dumped on the winning coach, position of player named MVP etc.

It’s interesting that the 60th Super Bowl hasn’t generated the juice that the NFL Championship Game usually does.
The matchup — Seattle vs. New England — doesn’t feature any major market teams or have a national image such as the Cowboys, Steelers, Eagles, Packers, Chiefs and 49ers.
So here’s a list of 25 prop bets for your entertainment as the game unfolds:
1. Will the National Anthem be over or under 2 minutes?
2. Will the coin toss be heads or tails?
3. How many touchdowns will be scored: over-under 5.5?
4. What will happen first, touchdown, field goal, turnover, sack, punt?
5. Will either team score in the first 6 1/2 minutes of the game.
6. Which team will cover the 4 1/2-point spread?
7. What color Gatorade will be dumped on the winning coach?
8. Will there be a missed field goal?
9. Will there be a field goal in the last two minutes of the game?
10. Will the first play of the game be a run or a pass?
11. New England commits the first accepted penalty?
12. Will there be a defensive or special teams touchdown?
13. Will there be a missed extra point?
14. Will the final score be over or under 45.5 points?
15. Will a team reach the red zone (inside the 20-yard line) in its first possession.
16. Will the Patriots’ Stefon Diggs be held under 44.5 receiving yards?
17. Will the longest punt return be over 18.5 yards?
18. What will be the jersey number of the first TD scorer, over/under 10.5?
19. Will any non-QB toss a touchdown pass?
20. No touchdown in the game?
21. Will Seattle’s Rashid Shaheed total over 100 yards total offense?
22. Will the Patriots’ Drake Maye complete more than 19.5 passes?
23. In what quarter will the most points be scored?
24. Will any player/coach be flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct?
25. Will a fan run on field during the game?
