Olean 57, Dunkirk 52
DUNKIRK, NY – The Olean boys basketball team were the cause of Dunkirk’s first loss of the season, back on Dec. 18.
Since then, the Marauders went on a nine game win streak. Only for the Huskies to upend them yet again in the reverse fixture.
Dunkirk’s two losses on the season are now both at the hands of Olean and in the second edition of the battle, Mykel Rivera and K’Vion Tell went toe-to-toe. Rivera netted a team-high 22 points for the Huskies while Tell shot the lights out, draining six 3s en route to a 23-point outing.
Ultimately, the result came down to whichever team could get more production outside of their two leaders — with 12 points coming from Adrian Bohdanowycz and nine from Joe Mest, it was Olean that held on for the win.
